conjugation.preterite.dar-ver

Dar and ver in the preterite: di, vi

Dar and ver take -er/-ir preterite endings with no written accents: di, diste, dio; vi, viste, vio.

conjugationA2v1.0.0

Erklärung

Dar, although an -ar verb, borrows the -er/-ir preterite endings: di, diste, dio, dimos, disteis, dieron. Ver is regular in shape but so short its forms look irregular: vi, viste, vio, vimos, visteis, vieron.

Because the forms are monosyllables, di, dio, vi, vio carry no written accent — current RAE spelling.

Both feed the imperfect subjunctive regularly: diera, viera.
