Attaching pronouns to commands: dímelo, levántate

Affirmative commands glue pronouns to the end (dímelo, levántate, cómpralo); negative commands put them before (no me lo digas). A written accent keeps the original stress.

Explanation

Affirmative imperatives attach object and reflexive pronouns directly to the verb, in the order indirect-before-direct: di + me + lo = dímelo; compra + lo = cómpralo.

The verb keeps its original stressed syllable, so once the word grows, a written accent usually appears: levanta → levántate, diga → dígame. Two special drops: nosotros loses -s before nos (sentémonos) and vosotros loses -d before os (sentaos; exception: idos).

In the negative everything moves in front of the verb, unattached: no te levantes, no se lo digas, no nos vayamos.
