Explanation
Regular -er verbs follow one fixed pattern in the present: remove the -er ending and attach -o, -es, -e, -emos, -éis, -en. Comer: como, comes, come, comemos, coméis, comen.
The only difference from -ar verbs is the theme vowel: e instead of a. Everything else — who the endings mark, where the stress falls — is identical.
In voseo regions (Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay, parts of Central America), vos takes -és with final stress: vos comés, vos bebés. The vosotros form (-éis) is used in Spain only.
